Use this continuum to track your students progress when creating texts.

This progress tracker has been developed using the National Literacy and Numeracy Learning Progressions on the Australian Curriculum website.

Track your students as they move through the different progression points.

The progressions are described on the Australian Curriculum website as a common pathway of conceptual development or a sequence for learning or acquiring a new skill.

I love this and would be eager to see this format for the other progression strands as this is only for Creating Texts. Is there any possibility of the rest of the writing strands being put into a document with the same layout?

Do you know the year levels that are linked to these levels? Also CTr9 is missing it's heading too :)

Hi Vicki, It is our understanding that these are level based, rather than year level based. When you visit the Australian Curriculum website it says that a student needs to achieve level 11 by approximately year 10. For more information, here is a link to the levels on the Australian curriculum website. https://www.australiancurriculum.edu.au/resources/national-literacy-and-numeracy-learning-progressions/. Thanks also for notifying us about the level 9 heading missing. This has now been amended.
