Looking for a Set of Fast Finisher Task Cards?

With a class full of diverse learners, it can sometimes be challenging to keep all students engaged at all times! There are always students who need additional help to complete tasks, as well as those who seem to have finished absolutely everything!

To help keep your high-flying students engaged and actively learning, Teach Starter has created this set of fast finisher task cards. The resource features 16 different tasks that students can work on once they have completed the work that has been set for the lesson. Some of the tasks include:

  • Write a song about the things you like to do at school.
  • Use your imagination to create a new animal.
  • Create a map from your house to school.
  • Design a new playground for your school.
  • Use your imagination to create your own superhero.

The resource also includes blank cards for you to add additional activities.

Multiple Uses for These Fast Finisher Task Cards

These fast finisher task cards, while designed for fast finishers, can be used in many different ways in your classroom. Here are some ideas from our teacher team:

  • Wet Weather Activities – When outdoor play isn’t an option due to rain, students can use fast finisher cards to engage in creative or educational activities indoors.
  • Brain Breaks – Use task cards to provide quick, engaging activities that help students refresh and refocus during or between lessons.
  • Transition Time – During transitions between subjects or activities, fast finisher cards can keep students engaged and minimize downtime.
  • Homework Choice – Students can pick a task card as an alternative or supplementary homework assignment, allowing for differentiated learning.
  • Group Activities – Use the cards as prompts for small group work, where students can collaborate on solving problems or completing tasks.
